2008 China Open will have a grand cast of women players. According to information from China Open Organizing Committee, top four players of Women’s Single---- Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankvoic, Kuznetsova and Dinara Safina, all of whom will have their parts in China Open 2008. Among them, Ana is new to Chinese fans, while others have been known for long.

The year 2009 will see the ultimate upgrading of China Open, among which, the female event will be upgraded to SE WTA Crown-Pearl Tournament. This means that China Open is continuously growing from immature to mature, improving in several crucial aspects.
